If you ask me BitTorrent will be a big support for ipTV in the near future. The Picture shows the traffic of me downloading 2 or 3 legal HDTV Files (from http://www.mariposahd.tv/).
BitTorrent is not only maximizing network efficiency by using as few hops as possible, it also gives the power over the channels to the node instead of having it concentrated in one place.
I can´t emphasize it enough: get yourself a decent BitTorrent Client and start playing!
